At Roots of Empathy and Hope Association, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future regardless of their family’s economic circumstances.
Through our Education and Sponsorship Programme, we support children and young people from vulnerable and disadvantaged households in communities across Nyanza and Vihiga. Our programme seeks to reduce barriers to education and ensure that children can remain in school, access essential learning materials, and pursue their educational aspirations with dignity and hope.
Our support may include school fees assistance, learning materials, uniforms, books, and other essential educational needs, depending on the circumstances of each child and the resources available to the programme. We also work with families and community stakeholders to identify children who are at risk of dropping out of school and connect them with appropriate support.
Beyond financial assistance, we encourage children to develop confidence, discipline, positive values, and a strong belief in their own potential. We recognise education not only as a pathway to employment, but also as a powerful tool for empowerment, personal development, and breaking cycles of poverty within families and communities.
